I babysat a sweet, sweet baby boy from my church this morning. I took it as an opportunity to snap some pictures, but this morning also reminded me of a very simple principle...
A baby. It depends on it's mother for food, it's trusts it's parents to keep it safe. It feels secure in their loving arms. It never doubts that it's mother will care for and love him or her. The baby trusts it's mother to provide for it's every need. From the day it's born, a baby is soothed by the sound of his mother's voice. As it grows, it learns to obey it's parents because it trust their guidance.
We, as Christians are told to have Childlike faith. When you think of a child, those are some of the things you think of. The Lord tells us to trust Him like a child trusts it's mother. We can depend on him, trust him and find our security in him. Their is no doubting his love for us. He calls us to grab a hold of his hand and follow him. With no worries, no doubts, no cares, just trust.

Enjoying Spring Green
Have I mentioned how much I am loving this weather? Well, there I mentioned it. It is fabulous. Not too hot- just right with a little breeze. It feels great to go outside. I often find myself reading on the front porch, enjoying the life going on outdoors. Flowers are blooming everywhere, birds are chirping a melody, and the world is green. Spring green (I heard it called that, and I thought it was cute). The kind of green that is only around during this time of year. I love it. It warms my heart.
I took these pictures when I was babysitting yesterday.
When I walked in the door one of them asked me, "Did you bring your camera?" As a matter of fact I had!
I arrived at their house at prim lighting for taking pictures, so we headed outside. We had fun trying out different poses, making faces, and enjoying the Spring green!

Swings, Twister and Silly Faces
I love babysitting. Usually my weekly schedule involves babysitting a family from my church. Now that my brother and sister are off to and graduated from college, whenever I get the chance to play boardgames and play outside like a kid again, I have fun!
I absolutely love these kids. They are like my younger siblings, and since I don't have any younger sibs, I enjoy all the time that I get to spend with them. They love to play twister and play out in the back yard whenever I watch them at my house. When we are at their house we play capture the flag, clue, charades... you name it. We have a blast.
Next week I am going on spring break with them as their full time babysitter :) I am sure you will see some more pictures of them once I get back from the trip. They agreed, wholeheartedly to let me practice taking pictures on them!
--When I edited these pictures I tried some different effects to see how they would turn out. I like to try something different every once in a while.
* film pictures from Colorado and the past few weeks are being developed. They should be on the blog by Friday. Hold me to my word.
